Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days of your lives – and your memories should last forever!
Lindy is a Johannesburg based Wedding Photographer with a distinctive style – A combination of the standard Traditional with a touch of Photojournalism. “I believe that some of the most expressive photographs are those which are captured in the moment – natural and unposed”

Lindy has been a passionate photographer for as long as she can remember and she has successfully combined that love with my other – working with people.
“For me Wedding Photography is about capturing the happiness and emotion of the occasion; the unmistakable love and devotion between the couple; and moreover those special moments which are gone in a heartbeat, but which should never be forgotten.

Who Are These Wedding Planners Anyways?
I am a professional wedding planner and would like to dispel a few myths surrounding wedding planners.
I want to clarify the ‘professional’ part of the job description. Professional in the fact that it is my full-time job in assisting clients with their wedding plans. It is a lot more than playing with crystals, ribbons and flowers. This is not a glorified hobby. I take my job and responsibilities very seriously. I run a legitimate business through a registered company, I have studied, I have gained experienced, I have a website and even a dedicated work space. I have experience, recommendations and an impressive portfolio. I have an incredible collection of wedding books/magazine than all of the Exclusive Books and CNAs in South Africa. I am constantly researching, innovating and implementing trends, styles and fashions in the weddings I plan.

I have had such a hectic time with the decor arrangements and trying to cut down on the quote. After thinking the first decor quote of R9000 was too expensive we ended up getting a much better decor idea from SA Wedding Decor which came to almost R20 000! We’re moving towards a similar theme and feel to the below but after scrutinizing the quote and remembering that I am very creative, the centrepieces will be done by me and I am scrapping the white sheer organza overlays and the large white painted trees we were going to have as features on each side of the main table. We have so much else going on that we can safely do without these things. I’ve managed to get the quote down by R7000!

We met our photographer at our venue, Ingwenya Country Estate, on Sunday to walk through the grounds and go over the lighting that we’ll have in the reception hall. Highly recommended that you do this because your photographer won’t waste time on the day trying to find appealing spots to take photos and he/she would have prepared for any bad lighting in the hall or on the grounds. Going to the venue and viewing the hall again put alot in place for us because it’s easy to forget the specifics of the venue after your first visit. As mentioned in my previous blog, we’re moving the ceremony into the gardens and viewing the actual spot was so exciting and gave us a great indication of how we’re going to have everything set up. It makes the rest of the planning much easier. I suggest you go to the venue a few times if you’re not sure about the table layouts, DJ spot, main table area, decor ideas, etc. It falls into place nicely once you’ve been a few times.
I also previously mentioned that we would visit the Oriental Market opposite Bruma Lake. I recommend a visit there if you’re looking at DIY projects and saving cash. They have EVERYTHING! I just love the Chinese! They are so creative and supply so much for you to choose from. I’m using string beads in the centrepieces and there is a huge ‘florist’ and accessory shop there which is completely affordable. A huge variety of creative items, that if you haven’t wanted to use before, you’ll be using once you see them!
We have also decided to scrap the decor ……

Winners of our photo competition
Last year in August, Bridesbuzzing.com, together with Photographer Yvette De Beer from Innovate Photo ran a competition where we offered Brides to be the chance to win their wedding photos for free. Although none of the submissions were between August and October, Yvette liked Gezell Coetzee’s submission so much, she decided to make her a lucky winner and offer her her wedding pics for free!
Gezell and her husband Taswell were married on the 14th March 2009 at Vredenheim Wine Estate Stellenbosch. Below are here are some of Innovate Photos beautiful wedding pics of the couple on their special day.
