WIN a wedding photographer
After the success of our two “Win a wedding photographer” competitions, we have, once again been given a chance to make one lucky couple a winner of their wedding photographs!

This time, the Photographer is our very own “Mizz Honeysuckle”, who blogged about her wedding preparations on BridesBuzzing.com. Well Mizz Honeysuckle has recently launched her own wedding photography business, and in order to build her portfolio she is offering one lucky Bridesbuzzing reader, FREE wedding photography for her big! The only stipulation is that you must be getting married in 2009…so if you’ve got a 2009 date, this your chance to get your wedding photographed for free and save a huge chunk off your budget.
The Prize…
Kat Forsyth (AKA Mizz Honeysuckle) will cover your wedding for up to eight hours, and will provide you with 200+ edited images on compact disc. No prints or album are included in this prize. The photos will include everything from the bridal preparations, to the ceremony, family formals, a creative shoot with the bridal party and bride & groom alone, right through to the décor and reception festivities. Kat is based in the Johannesburg area, but she would be willing to travel anywhere else, provided you can pay for her travel and accommodation costs and that she is available on the day of your wedding… Sounds like a pretty good deal for free wedding photos!

Check out Kat’s blog to see more of her work – she may be starting out, but she’s really talented, plus being recently a bride herself, she knows how special this day is and exactly what brides want.

So…you want to win, here’s how! Simply reply to this thread by commenting below, and tell Kat why she should pick you! Tell her about your wedding, your fiancé, how you fell in love, why you would love to have her photograph your special day – anything that tells her about YOU. But please keep it short – a maximum of about 500 words! Don’t forget to include your wedding date and venue! Also, make sure you fill in your real email address in the field required when posting, so that we can pass it onto her and she can get in touch with you. Do not worry about including your email address in the comment field – you don’t want to display your email to a gazillion spammers. Only our administrator can see your email when it is included before the comment.
Entries are now open, so post away and feel free to tell all your pals about this page…

My fiance and I have been engaged for 8 years, and just have never had the money to actually get married ,and now we finally have the chance after having two children already, and being thoruhg it all, ups and downs, and we are so sure that we want to get married, we are like soul mates.I love photo’s, and I actually wanted to be a photographer, but again, the funds are not available, so I strongly believe that a day should not go by without photographs, moments are so precious and go by so quickly and once it’s gone, you can’t get it back, except by looking at a photograph, it is so precious, and this is why I want you to photograph my wedding, this is the moost important day of my life, and I want the memory to last forever, and not fade away, I want to be able to feel what I felt on the day when I look at my album, and I believe you can do that.
I will not have an actual wedding ceremony, it will just be the reception, and aome pics ofcourse before the reception in the scenic setting of Galoolies in Bedfordview on 03.10.09.
Thanks so much
Hi Kat. So you just got married the other day? You must know what I am going thru then. Everybody sais I dont need to stress, but I am getting married to the man of my dreams and he is so precious, cant see why he chose me. I would love to win this price to save a little money for one and would not mind putting my trust in you since I see you love the outside. I am getting married the 3rd Oct 2009 at Oudekraal, thats outside Campsbay. Hope to hear from you soon.
Kat! You absolutely have to visit the venue where me and my fiance will get married on the 18th of December 2009. Its called Shepstone Gardens and is situated in the heart of Jozi. It has exceptional gardens with fantastic photo opportunities. We visited the venue for the first time today and I fell in love with the stone chapel with its glass roof, the winding path up a hill overlooking the whole of Johannesburg and hidden corners of stunning settings, perfect for beautiful pics! Me and my husband to be would be honored if you chose us as winners so that we both benefit from this fabulous venue. Check them out anyway, because they really are worth it and is any photographers dream. We’re planning quite an exceptional wedding, that is out of the ordinary. You will enjoy it, I promise. We would love to hear from you soon!
Regards,
Soon to be Mr and Mrs Steyn from Paulshof.
Me and my fiance,Frans, met each other about 2 and a half year ago on a building site where he was the builder of the office block and I were the paint supplier for the client. We first were very fustrated with one another(our hectic schedules made it impossible to be on site on the same time)for about 2 weeks, aventially when we got toghether we hit it off. We have been togheter ever since. We decided to get married though both of us has been married before we felt we want it to be like a first time marriage. This would make it easier for my 6 year old son to understand.Frans is the one standing strong keeping me on the straight and narrow.I love him for who he is.
After we decided that we are not going to waste any more time and that we are doing it the old facioned way,as if it were the first time.
Frans went to see my father to ask him for his permission. My dad said:”As soon as you have your drivers licence”(Frans let his expired with the card system). Frans said thats fine and started learning for his leaners, when he got it he went back to my dad saying he took the first step. My father decided he could not let us be appart any longer and gave his blessing.
Now, we are only about 3 months away from the 10th of October 2009 the day that we liked to get married on.Here in our Home town, Koster, North West.
Becaurse of our back grounds coming from farms and staying on farms we would like our wedding to have that country-farm feel and your photo’s depicts that caractor well.
