Get Into Shape!

For the past week I’ve been giving some serious thought to how I am going to get into shape for our wedding day.  I then thought, why only our wedding day?  Why do you need a big event to do something that should be important for your general well being no matter what time of the year!  When I was pregnant I put on 22kgs and  lost alot of it after birth as mostly was water.  I still however want to lose another 10 to 15kgs to get back to where I used to be so I’m taking action.  Not only for my wedding day, but to better my future health and well being.  After surfing the internet for personal trainers I came across (what I believe) is the greatest concept.  I thought this was the best UNKNOWN discovery until I saw it advertised in Shape Magazine within 2 hours of finding it on a website!  Check out Adventure Boot Camp For Women www.adventurebootcamp.co.za.

Adventure Boot Camp is an outdoor four week fitness programme designed to get you fitter and toned, lose body fat & weight and gain a healthier lifestyle and improve your confidence levels.  You can also access their online eating plans and recipes and for only R40 as a newly registered camper you receive a 6 month subscription to Shape Magazine!  

What an ideal plan for the ladies that want to do some last minute toning and slimming.  You can view their online timetable to see when the next camp starts and can plan it according to your wedding date.  Alternatively you can do what I’m doing and start early.  I’ve signed up for the next camp starting 20th April ending 15th May for R530 (I was amazed at the cost effective price considering what you’ll achieve at the end).  I’ll then sign up for one of the camps after that to keep up the fitness and other benefits of the programme.  The more camps you go on the more discount you get. 

For those of us who don’t want to walk into a gym packed with people that are already in great shape or get a personal trainer which can be pretty costly, this is the solution.  If you’re anything like me, motivating yourself to stick to a gym routine is just not heard of which is also why Adventure Boot Camp appealed to me.  Once you sign up you are committed to going and they make it pretty hard for you to get lazy and skip camp.  I think this is great because it shows their commitment to help you achieve your goal.  You are not forced to do what you can’t do just yet.  You do things in your time and at your pace until such time as you get fitter and can do every exercise and challenge with no problem. 

I have just over 5 months to go before the wedding and there is more than enough to do without leaving such an important aspect until the last minute, so I’m starting early and I’ll keep you updated as and when I start.  I hope this helps some of you out there to achieve what you want to.  Not only for your wedding day but any goal you want to set for yourself regardless of the event.

    Hi Mrz Splendid! I checked out the site a few weeks ago and it is such a great concept but I just KNOW myself and I won’t stick to it. I think bootcamp will kick me into gear :)
