I’m heartily sick of…
Now you know that I stalk a LOT of photography blogs. A frikkin ton of them, actually. I’ve stopped using the blogroll on this page, actually, and just use dear old Google Reader – this poor list just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I have over 300 blogs in my stalking, er, reading list, so I get through a lot every day. And there is this one thing, this one phrase, that keeps jumping out at me and making me…I don’t know…feel all uncomfortable and icky inside. And that is the phrase “magazine-worthy”, as applied to someone’s wedding.
Hat Boxes

Hat boxes are a stunning way of dressing up your wedding tables! You can find round boxes, square boxes and they come in variety of colours! You can then use ribbons and other accents to dress up the box! You dont even have to stick to the same colour!
This arrangement does not require you to hire a container and worry about breakages! You can select a guest to take the arrangement home by sticking a name of the lucky guest at the bottom – this lovely surprise can be announced by your MC!
One hint… buy your boxes well ahead of time and always buy extra 2 boxes (just in case…)
Unusual Fan Invitations
So recently I have made this fan programme for a wedding that is going to be on Top Billing sometime soon:) How divine!!!
Usualy it is an invitation but this one is actually for the programme of the wedding – I hope its a hot day :). Each lady will get one and its a garden themed wedding. Whats nice about the fan invitation is that it doesnt have to have the Chinese theme it can be made into quite an elegant theme with the right colours :) Lets hope it catches the eye of the presenter :)
Mad Hatters Hens Party
Aghh – where to start…… Ive been wanting to post this for absolute ages now and just couldnt as I was scared my bride to Be Kim D would see the theme before the batchelorette Party. So the 3 bridesmaids got together (me being one of them) and decided we were going to have a Mad Hatters Tea Party for the “Hens Night”. What a blast this was and such an awesome theme.

So, we started off with a cupcake save the date Magnet with a mad hatters hat on the side.
Flower Power
Ok, this blogging thing would seriously be easier if I had a camera that works. Our one has gone nuts – you put batteries in, take five photos, and then they’re dead. Needless to say, we don’t keep buying batteries every five photos…so right now there are none. So I can’t show you my favours…which aren’t complete anyway, though they really should be! So maybe it’s just as well.
I realised that I never really posted about the flowers I finally chose for the bouqets and centrepieces. To be honest, they’re ever-so-slightly up in the air until the Day Of, because I told the florist just to get what’s available in the right colour for the centrepieces, in order of preference: Lilies, tulips, peonies……and waaaay last, roses. Reason is, my friend Henni (her brother) is paying for my flowers, and I don’t want to overload him and make him pay for more expensive lilies, say, when peonies will do just fine. Or whatever. As long as the look and feel is there, I don’t mind! This is the look I finally chose:

Except that I felt it was just a little too much going on for one table, not to mention a few too many vases and flowers expense-wise, so I trimmed it down to this bit:

Parasols
I’ve been so busy trying to put wedding things together over the last few weeks! On the weekend we had a cake appointment at a bakery, and Ialso had to try and find the following:
- Wedding bracelet (done)
- Brooch for e-shoot (done)
- New handbag (Just because I needed it! – done)
- Clips for my veil (done)
- Peep-toe shoes for e-shoot (couldn’t find ones that were cheap and didn’t give me toe-cleavage)
- White Parasols. Which I could not find ANYWHERE. Ladies, you have to help me out! This is what I’m looking for:

I didn’t think it was going to be hard. White parasols: paper, umbrella-fabric, I don’t care. As long as they’re white and have the wood frames, I’m happy. Except I toiled all over China Mall in Selby, and two hobby shops, and didn’t find jack. Help me out, ladies – where can I buy three white parasols??
The Latest Splendid Wedding Flowers & Decor
Hi, here are some pics from the latest wedding. Our company did decor and flowers…

BTW for all you Greek brides out there.. PLEASE check with the venue whether or not they will allow you to break the plates! This was a wedding where the bride was not allowed, and only found out on the night of the wedding! Even though the plates were delivered to the venue prior to the function. AND the most shocking to me as a wedding planner was the fact that the in-house event coordinator only came in to the ballroom 30 min before the reception. She didn’t even come to greet us, or to check on progress.
Yet another example how important it is to make sure your service providers are reliable!
Here are all the pics
