Ideas and alternatives for wedding confetti

Create a signature look at your wedding with various types of confetti.  The traditional cut-out punch holes are a thing of the past, not to mention that many venues dont allow them anymore.

I know that there are a couple of alternative options out there (and Im sure a lot more), but here are some great idea that I managed to find for fabulous alternatives to traditional wedding confetti.

Mizz Calla Lilly posted a great blog on Cinderella Wands Cinderlla Ribbon Wands. These are very different and unique.  You can personalise them with your names, wedding date or other things that may be special to you on your wedding day.  Things Like “I Do” or “Happily Ever After”.  Ribbon wands also make great gifts for your guests and beautiful photo opportunities.

What about wedding poppers to tie in with your theme and colours?

Lavender wedding rice is biodegradable and you can choose colours to tie in with your theme.

Here are some more options:

  • Rose Petals
  • Dried Rose Petals
  • Butterflies (I’m not so keen on the live ones, but it is still an option)
  • Feathers
  • Bubbles
  • Coconut shavings for a “white winter wedding”
  • Peacock feathers (for a bright Moroccan wedding)
  • Sparklers (although this is definitely for an evening wedding)

Any more unusual confetti ideas?

Using butterflies as confetti should be banned. They are transported in small plastic containers, and half die in transit! When released some die from the shock of the ordeal and fall dead from the sky. Others flutter about and end up drowning in drinks etc. Do u reallx want so much death at your wedding?
