The engagement
“I was at work when I received a sms from Shawn”. In the sms Shawn asked his future bride to check out the following web site. “I went on the website and there was our own story, complete with a picture of us and my engagement ring with a poem asking me to spend the rest of his live with him. At this moment in time I burst out in tears, got into my car and rushed home, only to find him holding my ring as I entered the door”.

The wedding
It was a nippy winter’s morning which turned out to be a beautiful, South African winter’s afternoon (not to cold not to hot just perfect) for the wedding. I started the morning early with the nerves running high, my hair & make up needed to be done, and I was wondering if there will be enough time for it all not to mention still having to get dressed and making sure the venue was perfect.
All was lost as soon I walked into the chapel and saw Shawn standing in front, wiping away his tears.  I will never forget Shawn’s smile as he took my hand into his. All the stress and worries disappeared out the window in that moment.  The whole wedding was better than I had planned and dreamt it would be – the venue, the flowers ,the food and the atmosphere it couldn’t have been more perfect.

The reception was a blast every body enjoying our day with us, and were the last couple to leave at the end of the evening – something one does not usually see happen.

The honeymoon
We spent two weeks in the Tsitsikamma Forest – Eastern Cape South Africa.   Our first stay over was at The Finery, where we spent 3 nights.  From there we  stayed at the Tsitsikamma Lodge for another 3 nights, before our last stop over at Phantom Forest, where we spent 4 more days.
