Free wedding photographer
No, seriously it’s not joke…I just got an email from Yvette De Beer, a talented, new and upcoming wedding photographer who is building her portfolio and is willing to photograph your wedding for FREE! If you are getting married in August, September or October 2008 you may just qualify for this amazing prize.
Yvette will cover your wedding for six hours and provide you with at least 160 quality images. These images will all be supplied on compact disk (no prints included, but you can choose to purchase the prints from her). The photos will be a combination of the Bridal Preparations, Photos of the Bride and Groom, Family pics, Ceremony and Reception snap shots, giving you some great memories.
Sounding good? If you want Yvette to snap your wedding, you must be prepared to cover Yvette’s travelling/ accommodation costs if need be. She is based in Cape Town, but is willing to shoot your wedding anywhere, provided that the above mentioned is covered. That’s a small price to pay when you take into consideration the fees of wedding photographers. You must also be willing to grant Yvette permission to use your portfolio for marketing and PR purposes.- Pretty fair, huh?

I know firstly I won’t apply to this competition but I am having faith in my unfounded luck. My wedding is in November, one month out of category – but I’m a girl that has always done things different so in a no pun intended sense, this is no different.
People would have to agree with me that the search for a photographer is not as easy as it looks. Things that went through my mind where, “These are going to have to be the memories that last, the pictures that tell a story I may forget in my old alshiemers state when I reach 85yrs old” So who would be able to do that for me, who would be able to capture those precious moments where a flash a love shoots from my eyes to his but lasts only a second – I want that captured.
My fiance’ and myself are best friends. We met and our first impressions where not the best but soon enough we became best friends, sharing relationship problems seemed to be our favourite. We went through a lot together until one day we just realised something – we needed to be together, forget everybody else, our search in life for the true love had stopped their with eachother – best friends.
So this is where we stand today, our wedding is 4 months away, we have everything else except our photographer as I must admit I have been holding this off. Partly because I’m afraid I may be impulsive and pick someone with a deposable camera (I would be someone to do that-being different again)
So, on a final note. Yvette, your photos are beautiful, you seem to capture innocense in each pixel, catching a moment that may never be seen again. And that’s what I have invisioned for my wedding.
So this is me, Yvette, if you could give me the oppurtunity I would love to assist you in creating your portfolio, but mostly I would love for you to capture our moments on camera.

I am getting married at Vredenheim wine estate in stellenbosch next year on the 14 March 2009. For me the is a real dream come true as me and Tazz(my fiance) met in a very unusual way.
This is the story of how we met-this is one of my favourite stories i love telling.it all started one friday night whilst i was chatting to one of the ladies at work on mixit.she was telling me about this guy that dated her niece and they broke up a while back.she told me to invite him on mixit and gave me hes number.her words was you know how to deal with hes type and i laughed as i have a real funny way of dealing with the heart break kind.i would simply string them along and break up with them just so they could feel how it felt to be hurt.lol strange when i think about it now.anyway i did not normally invite people i dont know on mixit but i decided to do it just to see what happens.so i invite him and minutes later he accepts my invitation.so i tell him who have me his number and we start chatting telling each other everything about each other.i enjoyed the conversation so much we ended up chatting till early hours of the morning when my phone died.we chat for the next two days then sunday he sent me a strange message saying its about time.my shocked reply was time for what so he tells me time you sent me a picture.then i asked him for hes number so i can send it as hes mixit number was different from hes mobile number that he used.he gave me a number but i had not noticed that it had one number short.so i keep trying to send an mms and it does not go through.so i log back onto mixit and then give him my number telling him to send to a text message so that i can get the number.i logged off and then fell asleep.i woke up monday morning with an mms on my phone it was a picture of tazz at hes graduation.here im thinking this guy is so yummy and to be honest him having a degree was a mega turn on.so i immediately sent him some pics back.no response all day.i was getting nervous so i went up to the lady that gave me hes contact and asked her if she had hes email address.she said she would send it but i waited all day till the afternoon and nothing.then i decided to go up to her office
So i refused to leave until she had given me the email address.i went back to my office and sent him an email asking him whether he got my picture.he did not respond until later that day and asked me to send more pictures.we emailed for the rest of the day exchanging pictures etc.i called him the tuesday and then agreed to chat online that evening.tuesday evening tazz asked to meet the wednesday for a date.i wanted to so badly but then told him that i was busy the wednesday but we could go out the thursday.thursday night came not a minute too soon.tazz picked me up a seven as agreed .he knocked at the door i opened there he stood at the door with hes mouth literally open not saying a word.my response whats wrong.so he says i could not imagine that you would be so beautiful.so i told him to come in and meet my mom.we left and in the car he gave me a single yellow rose.he even opened the door for me and everything.we went out to stones in claremont for a drink but the music was quite load so i asked if we could we could go somewhere quite.we ended up going to sit on the beach in camps bay chatting all evening till the early hours of the next morning.when he dropped me off he asked if he could see me again.i agreed and told him i would call him the next day.we had a braai at work the next day and i got a little tipsy so i went home and fell asleep.i woke at two the morning and realised that i had not even called tazz.i immediately picked up the phone and call me.he asked if he could pick me up and in a half hour he was there.we went out for drinks with hes best friend.then got some hot chocolate later that morning and sat just in the parking lot of the company for hours.time just flew by and it was so romantic as the leaves were falling from the trees all around us.he then took me home and asked me if he could take me to meet hes other friends that evening.we did and really enjoyed clubbing that night .as he took me home he asked if i would go to hes uncles 50th birthday then next day I went to the 50th Birthday and then at the lake cose to the hall he asked me to go out with him.
On our Six Months anniversary we got engadged in Betty’s bay whilst we were on a weekend breask away. To be real honest I think we have a fairy tale romance and I wish that you would be able to capture the memories of one more of of fairy tale moments. I belive that each picture tells a different story and that in photo’s the are immortalised forever. I hope that you will be able to be the one that captures this special day for us.
Good photographers are hard to find and with 05 months away I am getting a bit anxious as I have still not found anyone good enough to capture our special memories.
I have seen your pictures on facebook I think you are very talented. You really have a flair for this which will take your very far.
Your pics stream with emotion and are very professionally done. Something I would value very highly.Tazz and myself would really love if you would do us the favour of taking our photographs.
