Sitting hands in your hair about your serviettes ??

July 15, 2008 | Posted by Mizz Calla Lilly

See I realized with a bang that I totally forgot about serviettes. I was soooooo busy with all the other plans, that I totally forgot about my serviettes, which is VERY important! Oh my, I went into panic state……

What to do, as my theme is one in a million, and I phoned a zillion places to try and find serviettes… So this past weekend was my BIG serviette search weekend…

And guess what, in the East Rand Mall there is a party shop. With the most gorgeous Serviettes!!! Amongst other things…
SOOOO I bought these…

I tried putting the serviette into my printer, BUT my printer didn’t want to feed it.. hehehe…. So I was left with
a very expensive choice, having my serviette printed, but I dont have the money for that..

SOOOO I took some of my T-shirt iron on’s and gave it a try….

OK so , I took my picture and logo for the theme, and printed a few pages, and cut all of them out…

THEN I took the iron, and started ironing the transfers……
Step 1 : Put the transfers where you want, and iron them like 30 seconds each. Iron must be set to HOT, without any water in…

Then you have to wait for the Iron transfer to cool down, it takes about 5 minutes. THEN you have to carefully peel
the transfers off, be careful as the serviette will rip….

Pull the transfers off, one at a time…

When everything is done! VOILA! your serviettes are ready!
Soooo do you guys love my serviettes or what ??

    thanks Mizz Honeysuckle! BIG GRIN!
Yep paper sierviettes, I didn’t want linen ones, to me linen ones wouldn’t have worked out nice with a picnic. AND I tried multiple things for decorating the serviettes, even tried embossing them! LOL, till I burned them.. hehehe
SO i thought of Thsirt transfers, and voila! I also think it looks stunning!
    Thank you!

Very clever - must have taken up a lot of your time though!

It took allot of time to do, especially getting the pictures just the right size. AND then not to burn the serviettes, BUT I think it was worth it!
