Colour pallets are not just for painters anymore or for the Dulux stand in your local hardware store. they are great little tools that can prove to be lifesavers in your whole wedding planning process.

You may like a gazillion different colour combinations for your theme, but seeing them together will make all the difference.
Your first step is to pick a base colour and once you’ve established that you can work on another two complementary colours. Your base colour will be the main colour you decide on and the complimentary colours will be what you use for accents.
Lets say, for example, you choose brown as your base colour, and pale purple and red as your accents, you can create your bridesmaids dresses in brown and compliment them with a pale purple sash, and red roses…. see where this is going? Ah, ha, I have your attention now, so where do you get started?
There are lots of great resources online, but one that I really like is www.colorsontheweb.com, they have a great interactive colour wheel, where you can pick three colours. If you don’t like what it suggests, just hold the colour’s you like and keep spinning the wheel until you find a colour combo that you love!
