Bridesmaids

My two sisters are my bridesmaids, and honestly I could not think of two better people to accompany down the isle.  We have always been very close, we used to throw these awesome parties together and just generally hang out all the time. We were our parent’s worst nightmare with only having strength in numbers and could be anything to our own way.

Unfortunately both my bridesmaids are overseas and neither is being very supportive. The one is not what you would call a “girly girl” and the other is gallivanting overseas and constantly traveling! I try to send them emails and ask for their opinion but I generally get no response.

I have been very understanding and asking for their opinion on nothing really too important, they only thing I really wanted them to have a say in were their dresses. Now I love my sisters and do not feel the need to put them in a sack. I want them to feel confident and sexy and I want to get them something that they will wear again. So I email them the final 3 dresses and they don’t respond!

So after a week I have re-emailed them a link to ‘bridesmaids 101’ and this awful dress to try and sock them into responding.  Let’s see if they respond…

Even with all of this said and done, I still would only choose them as my bridesmaids. They are my first playmates and I know that they will always be there no matter what and I truly love them for that. I just wonder if I am not letting sentiment drive me a little too far?

That sucks. Its really not nice when they dont get invovled, especially considering they are your sisters.

If I were you Id choose my own bridesmaids outfits, and if they dont like it, tough - you gave them the opportunity to give you their feedback
