I got an email the other day, with an update on the latest Wedding Expo. Apparenly, the expo in April had all the answers for every bride out there.

The email mentioned that after the planning, sending your invitations is the first step to making your day a reality. Your invitation is going to set the tone of the day and of course provide everyone with vital information to make sure that they get to share the special event with you.
Flowers are what bring your décor to life and provide a link between your wedding in the chapel and the reception. A beautiful bride’s bouquet should be carried through to the centre pieces on the table. Flowers can also be the mainstay of your colour scheme providing splashes of colour to a classic theme for example.
Like the wedding gown, you decide on your cake well before your day! Cake designs are becoming more and more creative and cake flavours are including everything from the traditional fruit cake to chocolate ganache and chocolate box cakes filled with cream and fruits. Make sure to have a tasting before you decide on your cake so that you can have the cake for dessert.
For the bride-to-be the wedding gown is of course the most precious part of the day. It is the time that she will look like a princess as she goes to meet her groom and begin her new life. The Wedding Expo is the only place the bride-to-be gets to see the best designers and fashion houses under one roof with the fashion shows held twice per day.
The Wedding Expo fashion shows showcase a wide range of dresses from the classic to the colourful and sometimes very different. The bride-to-be was also able to see gowns from local South African designers who will work with her to create the dress of her dreams. She also experienced the ready made dress from both local and international fashion houses.
The Wedding Expo is the one stop department store for the bride-to-be. As the largest bridal exhibition in South Africa with over 300 professional suppliers under one roof, it is the only first step a bride-to-be can take when starting to plan her special day!

Brace yourselves girls, the next show is on the 5th and 6th September at the Coca-Cola dome, Northgate and 24th to 28th September at The Soweto Festival.
