I need a change! But I have to put it on hold…

June 2, 2008 | Posted by Mizz Honeysuckle

Ok, so over the last few months I’ve grown totally sick of my hair. I never DO anything with it! It’s so flat and booooring. So now I really feel like mixing things up, cutting it all off or going red, or something. The only problem is…THE WEDDING! I can’t change anything until after the wedding! Because I want long, loose curls, so it has to be long, and I want to be blonde, because I’ve been blonde for 29 years and my wedding photos is not the place to change that! So suddenly I can’t wait until November when I can do something like totally radical, hey.

You know how boring Gwyneth Paltrow is? My hair looks like hers. Only thinner and less well-groomed.

I think I could carry off a choppy bob like Elliott did in Scrubs a few seasons back, when she did a big makeover:

Fun, Huh? Anybody else planning on making a big change after their wedding?

    Hey Mizz HS

I wouldnt change it so close to the wedding, although you have a bit of time still, so it might be reversable if you dont like it (colour not cut hey :P). Just dont go changing it a week before PLEASE!!! :P

I have naturally dark hair and have been highlighting it for about 3 years or so. Before the wedding I was tempted to have it dyed dark again so that it would look good in photos, but my hairdresser advised me against it… So instead, we put a more strawberry blonde in rather than platinum and it worked out quite nice, becuase you could see it was highlighted, not that I was trying to change the colour.

I still want to try it dark again, but im loving it light so much more - just cant handle this R1000.00 every three months to have it done (even though i should be doing it more often hehe ) !!!

Yes your hair looks lovely in your photos! Not fake at all. And don’t worry, I’m not going to do ANYthing to my hair before the wedding, except get my light highlights retouched (I need a bit of oomph or I’m blaah-blond instead of fun-blond :-))

I have DARK almost brown blonde hair naturlly, wich I have been highliting fot the past 5 years now.. they say once you go blonde you never go back..lol… I also recently thought of making a change, AND I actually did CHOP my hair off!
    BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Mistake! NOW I can kick my own behind for chopping my hair off. It was haging to the middle of my back, and now it above my shoulders. I am sooooooo stupid for cutting my hair. IF I could change it, I sure would!!
NOW I spend money on things to make my hair grow again..
    LOL
BUT what I did like about the change, is the Golden blonde highlites my hairdresser put in, it warmed up my colour……

I also thought of cutting my hair after the wedding. I had extensions put in a week before my wedding for some extra length, cause I wanted really loooong curls. Now I love the length so much, I’m thinking of actually growing my hair to the length of my extensions. I received so many compliments with the extensions I don’t want to go and have them taken out!
