Finding the perfect outfit in any situation is hard, when there is an added pressure of the outfit is for “one of your most important days” the pressure is killing. I have a hard figure to dress in a dress. It’s something I have come to terms with but I find myself reliving all the horrors while trying to find the right wedding dress.
My problem is that finding a dress that fits is so difficult. For my figure I have huge boobs with at the moment I am sitting at 32C, and it looks like its about it increase to a 32D, do they even make bras like that!! I also have a small upper stomach and hold a bit of a tyre around my lower waist. All is all a nightmare to dress!!
While trying on dresses a part of me fits into different sizes ranging from a 4 all the way to a 10!! I keep on trying on dresses to “give me an idea” of what they look like on, when in reality they only make my body look or out-of-proportion!! Certainly not a way to sell a dress!!
What worst it that I come out of these sessions feel ultimately depressed about the way I look. I have never been too conscious about the way I look, but now, WOW I am feeling so sorry for myself, and self pity is just so not my thing!
So what to do? Luckily my mother was there helping me try on and she is terrific for dressing my figure, and yes, she is always right which I have only come to realise lately. She told me she will make me a dress and not show it to me until its finished which I think is for the best.

Hi Mizz Sunflower - Congrats on your first post and welcome to the buzz!
You definately need to try, try, try and try again, becuase every style looks different than what you imagine. I loved those big poofy dresses, but when I put it on ( being blessed with Greek hips and all) I looked just like a poof!
I went for a mermaid style stress, that was tight on the hips, but not super tight and I loved it!
By the way you’ve described your figure I think that a fairtail (aka POOFY) dress would suit you quite well, perhaps even a two piece with a corset and skirt?
Im sure your mom will make you a fab dress, and I hope its everything you wanted and more :)
Welcome Mizz Sunflower! That’s so cool that your mom knows your figure so well that she knows what will look great on you, AND that she’s talented enough to make it! Can’t wait to see what she comes up with!
