DIY Crystal Name tags

Instead of having a seating chart for our our wedding guests, I made these cute little name cards and hung them on a branched tree which was at the entrance to the reception.

Making them was very easy, here’s how

Print your name cards, and start by cutting them out using a Stanley knife and a metal ruler, or if you have a guillotine, even better.

You will need:
- Cutting board
- Flat nosed Plier
- Round nosed plier
- Jump rings
- Long crystals for the bottom
- Smaller, round or square flat crystals for the top part

Start by assembling your crystas first. Place a jump ring through either side of the flat crstyal, and on the one side slip the longer crystal through. Close the ring with the pliers. It’s best to make all of these first and then do the rest of the assembling when you have done that.

Using the flat nosed pliers, and keeping the card flat on the cutting board, push the tip of the pliers through the card. My card was only 120gsm, so it was easy enough to do.

Your next step is to thread the jump ring through with your round nosed pliers. Once that’s done, attach the jump ring to the other end of the flat nose crystal and close the jump ring using your flat nosed pliers.

And there you have it :)

Very pretty! I’m going to use that thread-like fishgut, or whatever they call it, for mine, so I won’t need jump rings. And I’m just doing one per table - I don’t have the patience for so many crystals! Well done you.
