How important is it to have a rehersal dinner before the big day?

Man, I hope it’s not, because I can’t afford one.
I wouldn’t mind a quick run-through of the important ceremony bits, just for the parents, bridal party and us, so we know who stands where when, who takes the bouquet, that sort of thing. But I don’t think it’s necessary to invite everyone to a rehearsal dinner! That’s two meals each!
We also didnt have a full on reharsal dinner, just did a run through the night before. Whic I must say, was a bit silly!!! Coz we finished at 10.30pm, and I needed my beauty sleep heheh. It worked out fine, but just do it earleir the day before :)
Speaking of bouquet, I didnt know what to do, I was just holding onto mine for dear life hehe
Yeah, I wouldn’t know either! My sister didn’t know what to do with the groom’s ring - I don’t know why the best man couldn’t hold BOTH the rings! - so I was holding onto this ring for dear life on my thumb during the whole ceremony!
