Its a fab idea! I think these days, most people would pay thier own way for the accommodation. With our wedding, people stayed over, but they sorted out their own accommodation - would love to spoil them all, but really a wedding costs MEGA MEGA bucks (were still recovering from the expenses :P).

I remember someone telling me about a Mauritius wedding they went to and the bride and groom organised a great package rate from the travel agency, becuase it was a lot of people, and each couple paid their own way and made a holiday-type of it.

Oh that sounds SO fantastic! I always liked this in American movies too - I just thought that no one ever did it here! But I would love to attend a wedding like this. The thing is, who pays for all the accommodation and food? My sister had her guests stay over at the Berg on the night of the wedding, and it cost her a LOT. And she only had about 38 people there.
