After all he/she pays your salary, but do you have to invite the boss to your wedding? Would they get offended it you did’nt?

I have this problem! I don’t see why you should, but apparently it’s “the done thing”, according to some. I was possib;ly going to invite my ex-boss because he’s a nice guy and we got along, but I don’t work there anymore now - but I will want to invite some of my friends from there and I don’t want to hurt the feelings of other people there.

My new job, I wouldn’t mind inviting my new boss, except I don’t like his wife. I’ve known her for years and she can be very bitchy and drama-queeny, and also she tends to get very very drunk at parties. Mind you she’s been nice to me since I started working there, so maybe I can learn to live with it. I just don’t se why one HAS to invite the boss, but it seems to be expected.

I dont think you should have to invite them, unless you want to. But sometimes if you want to get into his/her good books then invite them. Chances are you’ll get a nice present at least :)

Tough one…. I guess if you are pretty close with your boss or have been working there a long time, then I guess they would expect to get invited. I was lucky that when I started my new job, the wedding plans had already begun so I didnt feel compelled to invite anyone from work. We only invited our closest friends and family though, but I did invite one of the ladies who I became friends with.

I invited by ex-boss, he left the company about a year ago, though they unfortunately can’t make it to the wedding. Currently I have 4 bosses, and this seems to change every 3 months…so I’m not inviting any of them.
