Back in February, Mrz Queen Bee posted some of her favourite wedding photos. While I’m still on a photography roll from last week’s blog, here are some of mine. I’ve lost a couple of the photographer details, unfortunately.
I tried to do a top 10, but it ended up as a top 23, which I then forced down to a top fifteen. In no particular order:
(1, 2, & 3 from Andrea Carlyle)
(Pic 4 from Andrew Van Grundy)
(Pic 5 I’ve lost the details)
(Pics 6 & 7 from Christina Craft)
(Pic 8 no details)
(Pic 9 from Emin Kuliyev)
(Pic 10 from Hollye Schumacher)
(Pic 11 Heather Kadar…I think!)
(Pic 12 CG Photography)
(Pic 13 Andrea Carlyle again (why am I not surprised?) second-shooting for Dror Eyal)
(Pic 14 Phillip Lloyd obviously)
(Pic 15 CG Photography)
You have noooo idea how many photographs I went through to select these 15! There is such talent out there it’s amazing.
Post your favourite wwedding photos!

That first pic is totally cute! Edited no doubt, but so very nicely done. The one of the brides going down the stairs is also B-E-A-utiful!!!
The only pic I dont like is the one of the girl sitting on a log. The reflection (for me anyway) looks too fake. I love it when photographers can caputre the reflection naturally, this is the one digital enhancing features I really dont like. I also dont like it when the photos have doubles of the couple in them. looks way freaky!!! Unless of course, its done on an extra large collage.
Yes I know what you mean about the doubles of couples in one picture. It is creepy!
I love that the reflection in the girl on a log photo is soooo crisp! I think it’s beautiful! Haha, each to his own. The shadows kissing is so totally cute; it was done by Andrea and my photographer Tanja together (they shot the wedding together but that pic was on Andrea’s blog) at my venue, so I want a similr one!
I also love the angle from below in the mirror shot - so effective!
Hehe, the only reason I Say I dont like it is becuase I like it when photographers can capture amazing shots without edititing them….
Check this one out by my photographer, Justin Erasmus, I absolutely love it!
I love how the yellow, dried out grass sits at the edge of the pic, and those clouds…. are Amazing!
The clouds are stunning! I think a lot of photographers use a bit of editing just to make the colours “pop” more - my last one with the green grass and thunderous skies - I’m sure the grass wasn’t quite that green, or the sky quite so contrasting!
I don’t mind the editing as long as the colours don’t look unnatural or jarring.
I dunno hey, a good photographer can caputre that, they look for stuff we wouldnt normally see…. I mean we were busy taking photos and he turned around and was like “come, come, quick, quick, we gotta get those clouds in” hehe
Anyways, its possible, with professional equipment I think, but it would be interesteing to find out if this one you posted was?
I have no idea! I had saved it as “kadar” but I couldn’t find it on Heather Kadar’s site. I have a suspicion that it was from a photography workshop, and not of a real wedding. But I can’t remember where I got it!
Found your site by accident, and am honoured to have my pics featured here…WOW!
Just had to add my comment…could not hold back, I am afraid.
The first image with the shadows is as I took it i.e. I did not use photoshop to add the shadows it was just a clever play with light where we positioned the bride and groom in the correct place. Photoshop is an amazing tool that can create wonders but you would need hours to do this so most photographers like myself use it to enhance colours, sharpen, pop contrast and the ocassional zit removal!
FYI pic 13 is one of mine, second shooting for Dror Eyal.
Oh, thanks, Andrea! I had no idea where I found that one. I’ll edit the post when I get home. I really must keep better track of where I find wedding-related pictures…
