Sparklers for your wedding

May 19, 2008 | Posted by Queen Bee

We had sparklers for our wedding, and we asked our guests to light them during our first dance.  It looked stunning and I managed to find really nice ones that were about half a metre long.  The little “Spur” sparklers were no good. I got a whole pack and they burnt out before they started going, so they’re sitting in my kitchen draw.

The only thing I found with the sparklers is that I couldnt find a nice way to display them, being so big, they really would look completely out of place on the tables.

So, instead I got someone to hand them out just before the first dance on a nice silver tray.  When I was looking though, I found these great ideas online.  I guess if you tie them and just leave them on the table it would’nt look too bad?

We also did the whole “Perfect Match” thing, which was really cute.  I made the boxes to match our invitations and put one match box on each table.

    Hi Suz

Believe me I hunted! Those Spur ones just dont do it hehehe. I got them from a place in Durban, called Roepenands (spelling?). They sell them for Diwali so I asked a few of my Hindu clients and they recommended Reopenands. Not badly priced either :)
