When I was planning my wedding I bought a whole heap of magazines, which turned out to be girls wearing wedding dresses which looked like there were made from freshly plucked ostriches and had hair-do’s that reminded me of a birds nest. Yes, there were a few nice pictures but to be honest there were no suppliers that were relevent to me, here in sunny Durbs. I find that most mags really cater for you big spenders in Jo’burg.

So when I came across this little (but getting bigger every year) gem I thought I had died and gone to supplier heaven….
The Future Bride Magazine is a free publication available in KZN, and it’s brilliant. It’s packed with articles (relevent ones) lots and lots (and then lots more) pictures and the suppliers are reputable. It’s the first thing I recommend to Bride to Be in Durbs.
You can collect one from Brabys in Crompton Street, Pinetown, or visit Future Bride Online.

Future Bride is a lifesaver for us Durban Gals. I didnt really read the articles (blush) but it was nice to use as a guide for vendors and also has some nice pics in it too!
This looks like a great resource - I wonder if they have an online version.

Yes, many of the magazines are for the Gauteng brides. I will get the names of the magazines for Cape Town that I have at home so the Cape Town gals also know which ones to buy!
Mizz Carnation, that would be great… How about a post for “Planning a wedding in CapeTown”? :)
