Hi all, I am a professional makeup artist and most of my clients are brides so I would love to share some tips with you. A look that’s very easy to achieve and that will suit almost everyone is the classic 50’s liquid eyeliner paired with red lips. Sweep black liquid liner along the top lashline and wing out slightly at the ends.
Apply a little matte blush to the apples of the cheeks and finish off with 2 coats of mascara and of course, red lipstick. The tricky part is finding the right shade of red for your skin tone.
To help you I have put together a little guide:
Very fair skin - bright red or cherry reds.
Medium skin - delicate or rose reds.
Olive - deep rose, berries or brown reds.
Dark skin - deep berry or deep brownish reds.
Remember also that hiring a makeup artist will take out all the guesswork! This is a very simple yet elegant look that anyone can do although many struggle with liquid liner.
Practise makes perfect!
