I am still trying to figure out which song FI and I will dance as our first dance at the wedding.  We don’t really have “a song”, and I like so many, but battling to make the right choice - and I need HELP!!!

We danced to Aerosmiths’ “I dont want to miss a thing” It was beautiful. All our friends stood up, some gathered around us holding sparklers and it was just amazing.

We chose that song, becuase we’re not really into mushy-mushy songs and so we dont really slow dance, so this dance was perfect for us :)

Our wedding song is actually a sad story. The first night I met my fiance’s parent we had supper and a lot of fun. During the evening my fiance’s mom requested a dvd to be played by Patrizio Buane, she then played ‘Forever Begins Tonight’…and her words were, “Now this is the perfect song for a wedding song”….She passed away suddenly 3 day later. We’re getting married on the 28th of June 2008 and our wedding song…Forever Begins Tonight by Patrizio Buane.

Oh that is so sad Lynx! At least having the song at your wedding will feel as though she’s there in spirit :). I think its a great idea to follow her one “wish” if you can call it that :)

I am trying to ‘remember’ my fiance’s mom in small gestures. She passed away last August, and my fiance feels very strong not to make our wedding a sad event. Their family suffered the loss of his brother a few years ago and now his mom. I convinced him to place 2 red roses on their seats before the ceremony, though no one will be told why (cause then you’ll have the floodgates open), but we will know it is a symbol of their presence. Then later through her song, we will honour her wish.
