- Annouce your engagment and if you can afford it, have a engagement party
- Work on your budget - a vital part of planning your wedding
- Sit with your fiance (and parents) and decide on your guest list
- Decide on the theme of your wedding, choose your colours and try to conjure up the style you want to go with
- Browse through bridal magazines and choose a few styles you like
- Set the wedding date
- Start looking for photographers ASAP and book him/ her once you are happy. Dont leave it too late
- Start your venue hunt. Book the venue ASAP
